How much does it cost to rent the event room? Are there additional costs for extra services?
The cost of renting an event room at Gurgl Carat depends on your needs on the one hand, and on factors such as room size and duration of the rental on the other. The Hangerer seminar room offers the cheapest daily rental rate. The 41 m2 seminar room offers space for up to 14 people and is perfect for smaller meetings. As a general rule, it can be said: The larger the room requirement, the higher the rent. Consequently, it is also the most expensive if you rent the entire congress center. In return, you get space for up to 500 people (cinema seating) on the hall level and can also use the large foyer and the organizer's office on the first floor. Everything from a single source: At Gurgl Carat, you don't just hire event facilities. We are happy to offer you an “all-round carefree package” for your event. This also includes the organization of event catering, additional event technology, breakout rooms and the booking of hotels and side programs.
The requirements for each event are sometimes very different. That's why you won't find any general price information from us. We will be happy to provide you with a quote that is individually tailored to your event.
At what times of the year is the event room available? Are there any special availabilities or restrictions?
In principle, the Gurgl Carat can be rented all year round. However, as our congress center is located in the tourist destination of Gurgl at 1,900 m above sea level, the respective seasonal periods must be taken into account, especially for side programs and team-building activities. The summer season in Gurgl lasts from around the end of June to mid-September. The winter season runs from mid-November to the end of April. During the so-called off-season periods, there are no mountain lifts; hotels, restaurants and supermarkets are also generally not open. However, an event in the off-season can also be attractive. For a so-called “Meetcentive” in June 2022, a German retail company deliberately chose the quieter off-season for its annual management meeting. 400 people came together from all over Europe. Hotels were opened exclusively for this group, restaurants were opened earlier and special supporting programmes were organized. Gurgl is worth a visit at any time of year - we will be happy to advise you on the best time for your event in Gurgl.
Are there technical staff on site who can help with technical problems?
Your satisfaction is our priority. For this reason, we are there for you in advance to plan the technical side of the event together with you. Technical staff are also always on site during the event and can intervene directly in the event of problems. We would be happy to show you the many possibilities in our congress center during a tour of the Gurgl Carat. Did you know, for example, that the largest room, the Schalfkogel, has a 100 m² screen? Can the Gurgl Carat meet special requirements, e.g. special technical equipment or special room design?
Every event is different - and that's a good thing! Special requirements and customer requests are no problem at the Gurgl Carat. We are happy to organize additional technical equipment or other event requirements for you. Thanks to the flexible room concept, the room size can be individually adapted to the space required. It is also possible to set up several seminar rooms next to each other. We are also happy to help you select suitable breakout rooms. You will find over 20 breakout rooms within a 10-minute walk of the Gurgl Carat. Would you like to go higher? Together with you, we can organize an exclusive meeting on the mountain in the open air. There are (almost) no limits to creativity and possibilities.

If you book an event room at Gurgl Carat, you can use the room exclusively for a pre-defined period of time. Additionally, all basic technical equipment is included in the rental price. Depending on the event or selected seminar room, a flat rate for electricity or further technical equipment is as well included. Please refer to your offer for the exact scope of services.
“Parkgarage Zentrum” is right next to Gurgl Carat. If all the spaces should already be occupied, you can also use "Parkgarage Festkogl" at the entrance to the village, which is about 10 walking minutes from Gurgl Carat. In addition, the “Obergurgl Zentrum” bus stop is right in front of Gurgl Carat. The bus runs between this stop and the town of Imst with stops throughout Ötztal.
State-of-the-art Gurgl Carat is not only Europe’s highest congress center, but also a true highlight in terms of event technology. In view of top international events, fantastic acoustics have been installed in the halls. It also includes acoustic walls that do not let any sound escape. Therefore no volume restrictions apply in the event halls. For outdoor events, we would be happy to assist you in clarifying the currently applicable regulations.
