Let’s meet again – getting together again finally
Summer has arrived, hand in hand with easing of Covid safety measures – After so many months of hoping and waiting, we are finally able to open our center again. Nevertheless, the last year has shown us how quickly the signs can change. Regardless of legal regulations, we always focus on a maximum of safety. In this blog you can read how events are currently held at Gurgl Carat, what measures we are taking for your safety and how a successful event including a Covid-19 prevention concept can be organized.
Back to business again
It's the little things in life. Going for a tasty coffee, spending the evening with friends in your favorite restaurant or visiting an event together. All that has been missing in the last few months and we are all the more pleased about the freedom we have regained. Finally, events are allowed again, bringing variety to work and private everyday life. Also the freedom to travel is largely back. Anyone traveling from Germany to Austria only needs a certificate that he or she is vaccinated, recovered or tested, and the return journey is possible even without any restrictions.
Back to normal thanks to “must-have rule"
The large number of vaccinated, recovered and tested people makes it possible to return to normal. Even when attending an event, all participants must present one of the three certificates. As a result, most of the Covid safety measures are cancelled. Events for up to 100 people can take place at any time without any regulations. Up to 500 people only need to be reported briefly to the regional health department. An official permit is needed for 500+ people. Minimum distance as well as nose and mouth cover are no longer required until further notice.
Safe meetings at Gurgl Carat
Despite the easing of measures, the safety of our participants remains the central and most important issue at Gurgl Carat. That is why there are sufficient disinfectant dispensers available at all critical points. Additionally, we regularly disinfect and clean the sanitary facilities and all frequently used contact surfaces. The screens in the building display the current Covid safety measures, serving as a helpful source of information for visitors. The expert Gurgl Carat team is also trained in all mandatory safety measures. Gurgl Carat Managing Director Felix Kupfer is at your disposal at any time in case you have further questions. As Covid officer for the entire Ötztal, he always has an eye on the current measures and supports you in organizing a safe event.
Flexibility is the dictate of the moment when it comes to event planning in these times. The regulations can change on a daily basis with new tightening or easing of measures. Gurgl Carat is very well prepared if the measures should tighten again or if an organizer wants to implement his event as safely as possible. We have created an extensive Covid-19 prevention concept which can be individually adapted to the respective event. This detailed concept includes hygiene measures, preventive safety regulations and what to do in the event of a suspected Covid-19 case. The event protection decree provided by the state of Austria and flexible handling of Covid-related cancellations ensure planning security on the customer side. All about Covid-19 safety measures at Gurgl Carat and current regulations can also be found on our website.
Cycling for a good cause
As a perfect example, last year’s “Ötztaler Evening” with over 100 visitors shows what a Covid-compliant event can look like under strict safety precautions. It was held in August 2020 and the Corona pandemic has been keeping the world in suspense for a good six months. Big events are still out of the question. The unrivaled “Ötztaler Cycle Marathon” with 4000 participants from all over the globe had to be canceled as well. It would have been the 40th anniversary edition of the legendary road cycling race. Instead, the organizers invented the “Ötztaler SocialCycle Marathon” and every cyclist had the opportunity to complete the 238 km “Ötztaler” race course on his favorite home route. They all cycled for a good cause - the proceeds from this charitable campaign went in full to “Netzwerk Tirol hilft”.
On the occasion of this anniversary, a press event at Gurgl Carat was also on last year's program - the “Ötztaler Evening”. Thanks to a sophisticated prevention and catering concept, the event could be held as a face-to-face program applying the highest safety standards. The participants were safely guided through the building using our tried and tested “Covid Route”. Despite mandatory face masks and a mandatory minimum distance, there was a homely atmosphere and promised everyone involved a safe and atmospheric evening.
