Internship at Gurgl Carat
Doing an internship at a hotel for the 4th time? Joining the service team again? Or maybe in the kitchen between all the pots and pans? Actually, it's not exactly what we are passionate about. But what else? Tourism can be so varied. Where can we gain experience for our future professional career? Is there a place where we can learn new things professionally but don't miss out on personality?

Yes!
Gurgl Carat, a company that combines all these values. And we are proud to be a part of it this summer. For us, Gurgl Carat is the intersection of all areas. Comprising the cooperation with local businesses such as hotels, restaurants and mountain lifts, the varied leisure time activities of our guests play an important role as well. Additionally, creativity in marketing and juggling with numbers when preparing offers are also required. A job with a real all-inclusive character.

It's unbelievable that we are already starting the 4th week - half of our internship is already over. Time to summarize our practices and moments we have experienced so far.
Especially the team breakfast on our first day made us feel welcome right away. A feeling that only continues to be confirmed. Together we set up the stage and dismantled it again, rearranged the halls, provided the conference rooms with seats and operated the technical equipment. But above all, it was our first big event that made us a great team from day one. 27 tepee tents on the mountain, 400 people, impressive presentations on the 100 m² screen - the heart of the building, the cooperation with local companies and a congress center that became a party location on the last day of the event ... These are just a few points that give us the confirmation that we have found the right internship.
It was one of the biggest events ever organized and held at Gurgl Carat. Accordingly, it was associated with a great deal of time, extraordinary perfection, enormous commitment and a touch of nervousness. It was all the more fascinating for us that these circumstances had no influence on how warmly we were received and were already allowed to independently take on tasks with great responsibility.
Especially the sigh of relief after a successful event of this size bind us together even more. Afterwards you can even toast tot he entire team. ;)
To conclude ...
With a wide range of knowhow that we were given right from start and new contacts, we continue with a few smaller events. For example, team building workshops, meetings and exhibitions presented by varied companies and artists. A great opportunity for us to get to know also the world of details.
The impressive alpine scenery, which motivates us to conquer the mountains, and the unrivaled Ötztaler Cycle Marathon, which we were able to experience up close, are highlights that give us enthusiasm and motivation for the next big event, which is just around the corner!
See you soon,
Sophie & Lena

Sophie and Lena are students of the HLF Krems tourism schools and are doing their internship at Gurgl Carat this summer. Both of them like to think outside the box and are always looking for new experiences and inspiration. The lovely young ladies from Waldviertel are now spending their third summer in the alpine region and can usually be found in the mountains during their free time – sitting still and doing nothing is not an option for our female power duo.
